Dogs agree, Pet Dominion offers the best boarding accommodations in the area. Unlike most boarding kennels that have either stacked indoor-indoor or indoor-outdoor runs, our kennel features spacious, six-foot high, ceramic tile, split-level runs. Singles are 21 square feet and doubles are 35 square feet. Boarders are taken outdoors three times a day in a large fenced-in yard and there is a lot of individual attention from our kennel staff. A veterinarian is on site six days a week for immediate attention to any health problems.

The runs were furnished and installed by Snyder Manufacturing. Each run comes complete with rotating feeder trays for convenient dining. Dogs sleep on doubly soft lambskin beds from Alpha ProTech. We have plans to pipe in classical music for their listening pleasure.

Kim dayboards her dog, "Cain", while she works.  "Cain" knows which run is his and goes to it automatically.   Josean and Elissa have stopped to pose with "Pup", "Molly" and "Melek". They have just returned from playschool.

Both "doggie playschool" and "waterplay" are available upon request. Playschool is 30 minutes of supervised "play" in the yard for 6-8 dogs. It can include frisbee and fetch, or just petting. On hot summer days, dogs signed up for waterplay can take a dip in our pool or cool off under our sprinklers.

Elissa is sitting outside with "Bunker", "Barnum", "Wolf" and "Bobby" (left to right). They have been running around at playschool and now they are tired and want to rest. Josean, Raul, Elissa and Tommy  (left to right) are taking a break from playschool to pose with a group of our regular day boarders  - "Barkus", Scooby", "Plato", "Bear", "Jessie", "Hannah", and "Fred".
"Jocques", "Baxter" and "Kabuki" stop to rest in the shade with Cari and Richard before the next game of chase. Richard is playing with "Kabuki" while Carri gives "Jocque" a back rub.  He says she gives the best this side of the Potomac.
"Bently" and "Casey" are playing in the pool with Josean while "Crush" and "Raven" watch from the side with Richard and Tommy.

This is a closeup of "Yukon", a Shih Tzu puppy, swiming laps across the pool.

Feline visitors stay in a beautiful, sun-lit cat room. It features cages with lofts and portals from Snyder Manufacturing and plush beds from Mutts & Mittens. Cats play on the cat trees while their cages are cleaned and their meals are prepared. Only cats in the same family are allowed out together.

Elissa is about to feed "Taz" and "Isabelle".  When two cats from the same family board, we put them in adjoining cages and open the connecting portal so they can go back and forth at will.

Tommy is holding "Taz" and rubbing his chin.  "Taz" was playing on the cat tree and decided to hide in the little house when Tommy tried to put him back in his cage.

"Dot" (on top) watches quietly while "Fuzzy" wages all-out-war against the red feather boa.  Cari and Richard are enjoying the show. Richard is petting "Zelda" while Cari feeds "Bella".  "Shade" (on top) patiently waits his turn.

All boarders must be in good health, free of external and internal parasites and current on rabies vaccine. Dogs must also be current on distemper (DA2PP) and bordetella; cats on distemper (FVRCP). We offer very affordable "health insurance" to cover unexpected medical problems that might arise while boarding.

We feed Purina veterinary diets in our kennel and Iams high quality diets in our cat room. Our technicians are trained to administer necessary medications and we will gladly accommodate any special diets you bring. Dayboarding is also available, if you don't want to leave your dog at home while you are at work.
